Subani Moktan, 22, is a singer-songwriter based in Nepal. Born to a musician dad and a singer mom, she has been writing songs since the age of 14. She has recorded two albums so far, for which she won the Hits FM award for "Best new artist" in the year 2005, "Best Female Pop vocal performance" in the year 2007 and got nominated for "Best Rock Vocalist" and "Best Rock Composer" in the year 2009.
She is currently a vocal teacher at Kathmandu Jazz conservatory and continues to write songs and perform as a solo-artist.
